Youth tackle rugby

Youth rugby is coming back on the sports scene this week.

The Cayman Rugby Football Union would like to inform the public that the Maples national sevens academy starts up this weekend.

On Saturday players in the U3-U18 age range will take over the South Sound pitch throughout the day.

The first half of the day sees registration for the Maples community rugby program.

The U3-U8 age group is slated to register from 7:45 to 8:30am, the U10-14 kids from 9am to 10am and the U14-U18 kids from 10am to 12 noon.

A registration fee of CI$50 for the year is in effect for each player.

Kids are encouraged to go online to www.caymanrugby.com/maplesacademy.html and fill out the sign-up form ahead of Saturday.

Training times are slated to take place throughout the week.

Saturdays see the U4 and U6 from 7:45am to 8:30am; the U8, U10 and U12 from 8:30 to 9:30am and the U14s are in action from 9:30am to 11am.
