The new Caybrew Sunday Football League is kicking off on Sunday, with current League Champions, Harry’s FC, desperate to hold on to their hard earned crown they won last season.
Harry’s managed to go through the whole campaign unbeaten, only dropping points in three drawn games.
The new season will feature new teams, new players and new uniforms and as the season’s kick off draws closer it promises to be an intriguing contest from first to last whistle.
The two new teams are Diamonds International, and Kickers International, who have been busy finalising their squads.
The established teams’ have also been hunting around for new players, including some transfers between the teams. It promises to be another hotly contested campaign with the games being played each Sunday morning at the Ed Bush or Annex playing fields.
The organizers of the league have been working hard to secure sponsorship for a new knock-out cup competition for the teams and were delighted when they managed to secure financial support from local recruiting firm CML, who have put their name to the CML Cup.
The Final of this competition will be the climax to the season and will be the last fixture played on 25 April next year.
