Red Bay Primary School has recently enhanced its art programme in line with the national curriculum guidelines.
According to a press release, the school’s staff is excited and enthusiastic about the introduction of the new initiatives in art and craft.
The school is also keen on fostering art talent and developing student’s knowledge of art history and art appreciation, especially for those students who demonstrate an interest in or affinity for visual arts.
With the economic crisis negatively impacting most budgets, the school has sought the assistance of the business community, states the release.
Two local companies have also lent their assistance to ensure that the visual arts continue to be developed.
Dart recently donated $500 to sponsor the purchase of some much-needed art supplies and Cayman Designs has also donated $200 to support the school’s art projects.
The school plans to thank sponsors by having an art open house later in the year to showcase students’ work for the public to view.
