A new law firm is hoping to make it easier for some home buyers to get through the real estate legal process.
Cayman Law Associates is new boutique law firm catering to a particular buyer segment looking for a law firm with the personal touch.
‘As we do not follow the traditional corporate law firm model, we have a lower cost base and are therefore able to offer significantly lower fees to our clients without sacrificing quality,’ said Partner and real estate department head Richard Sykes.
The firm offers a particular expertise in residential sales and purchases, commercial sales and purchases, commercial leasing, residential leasing, landlord and tenant, real estate finance and secured lending, planning law, construction contracts and development.
The boutique firm hopes it can offer some key elements, not the least being service.
‘We aim to always be responsive and contactable,’ said Mr. Sykes.
The attention to client satisfaction is a high priority for Mr. Sykes, who was previously a senior associate at Walkers in their real estate and local business department.
Prior to coming to Cayman he was a real estate solicitor in London for a considerable number of years, and he is qualified to practise in Cayman, England and Wales and New Zealand, as well as a qualified barrister in New Zealand.
