Nick’s ace prize

Legendary tennis coach Nick Bollettieri has invited the Under 10 and Under 13 Champions of the PWC Junior Tennis Circuit to attend his academy in Florida for one week.

Thomas Neuert, Director of Tennis at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman said: ‘This is a great opportunity for juniors to take their game to the next level. The Champions Trophy, National Ranking Points and Bollettieri’s training academy are all to play for.’

PWC Junior Tennis Circuit: Grand Prix No.3 is being held at the tennis club in South Sound starting today with registration at 4.30pm.

Another Walkers ‘Play and Stay’ Mini Tennis for Under 8s is on. It’s for less confident juniors looking to compete on the circuit. They are invited on Sunday at the tennis club. Entry is free so just turn up.

There is also a junior trip to Jamaica. The Liguena Club has invited Cayman’s top juniors to compete in their tournament on 18-20 December.

Any volunteers who would like to become a lines official and assist umpiring at future events should meet at the tennis club on Sunday at 3.45pm. The newly qualified Level 1 officials will be umpiring the finals of the junior circuit.
