One of two main traffic arteries into George Town was closed for hours Wednesday morning after a passenger bus collided with a bucket truck.

It appeared the top of the bus smacked the underside of the bucket extension of the construction vehicle that was parked in the entrance to Comfort Suites on West Bay Road.
The wreck happened just before 7am and sent two men to hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Witnesses said it appeared the boom arm of the truck was manoeuvring the bucket around over the street when the accident happened.
Traffic backed up for miles toward West Bay district as police blocked West Bay road between the Harquail and Eastern Avenue.
