Garden party invites are out

Anyone
who wants to attend Royal Garden Parties in June and July should apply to the
Deputy Governor’s Office by 15 February.

The
parties are hosted by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace and are open
to citizens or nationals of the Cayman Islands who will be in the UK on the
scheduled dates: Tuesday, 22 June; Tuesday 20 July and Thursday 22 July. A few
British nationals living overseas may also be included.

Those
who have previously attended a palace garden party are not eligible to reapply.

Successful
applicants may be accompanied by a spouse or companion aged 18 years or older
and up to two unmarried children aged between 18 and 25 years.

Applicants
should provide the following information in writing: surname, forename, title,
decorations, occupation, marital status, name of accompanying spouse or
companion, names and ages of accompanying children, reliable UK contact address
(not the address of a bank or hotel), preferred date of attendance as well as
dates that would be inconvenient.

Successful candidates who change their travel
plans and are therefore unable to attend must immediately inform the Deputy
Governor’s office.

Applications
should be submitted to the Deputy Governor’s Office, addressed to Ms Betty-Ruth
Ebanks or emailed with the relevant information to [email protected]

To
obtain an official application form, people can email her, call her on 244-2432
or fax her on 949-0877.
