RBC commits $1million for Haiti

Among the many urgent matters
arising in Haiti is the need for clean water, and RBC Blue Water Project is committing
$1 million to support the efforts of ONE DROP and Oxfam.

The funds will go toward access to
water and sanitation and rebuilding small water and sanitation infrastructure.

As part of a project developed by
Oxfam-Québec, ONE DROP’s Project Haiti will be carried out over a
three-year period. Along with assisting with infrastructure, the project will
also aim to raise awareness about on the importance of good water management.

RBC is a founding corporate partner
of ONE DROP, with a pledge of $10 million over 10 years to help fund
on-the-ground water projects and awareness programs as needed around the world.
Funding for this Haitian project will come from that commitment.

RBC employees also volunteered to
handle phone donations during the Canada for Haiti broadcast

Since 2007, RBC has committed more
than $20.48 million to 155 organizations.
