CNB meet builds track hype

The Cayman Islands Athletic Association
will be hosting the third Annual CNB Relays this Friday at the Truman Bodden
Sports Complex starting at 7:00pm. 

The event, sponsored by Cayman
National Bank, promises to be an exciting one and the association looks forward
to a good turn-out of competitors in the various age groups.

Officials within the association
also hopes the meet keeps the momentum and excitement going towards the Carifta
Games being held here at the Complex in April.

Friday’s event also comes before
the annual Truman Bodden meet slated for this Saturday. 

The categories are: Schools,
Corporate Sector Groups, Government Departments, Clubs and Churches.

The events and age groups are as

4 x 50m Shuttle – M/F U9

4 x 60m Shuttle – M/F U11

4 x 100m – M/F U9, U11, U13, U15,
U17, 17– 25, Over 25

100m x 100m x 200m x 400m Medley – M/F
U11, U13

200m x 200m x 400m x 800m Medley – M/F
U15, U17, 17 -25, Over 25

4 x 200m – M/F U13, U15, U17, 17
-25, Over 25

4 x 300m – M/F UNDER 15

4 x 400m – M/F UNDER 17, 17 – 25,
Over 25

4 x 1 Mile – Mixed: open

The registration fee is $25 per
team which covers any number of events.

Medals will be awarded for the
first, second and third in each event and trophies will be presented to the overall
winner in each division (male and female).

all Cayman National Bank locations or by contacting association press officer Elizabeth
Ibeh (925-4763), National Track and Field Coach Kenrick Williams (925-1943), local
coach Tyrone Yen (925-6917) or local coach Harcourt Wason (916-6966).

Completed registration forms should
be returned to any of the above persons. There will be no registration on race
