The first-ever St. Ignatius Golf
Scramble takes place in a few weeks on March 26.
All of the action, aimed at adult
golfers, is slated to get going at the North Sound Golf Club via a shotgun
start at 1pm.
Proceeds from the tournament are
slated to benefit the school and the Catholic church.
The competition is expected to be
limited to 80 players who will be broken down into 20 teams with four players
Team registration on the day of the
event begins at 11:30am and the tournament wraps up with an awards dinner at
Prizes will be on offer for those
that make a hole in one, have the two closest balls to the hole and the two
longest drives and are judged as best dressed.
A putting contest and a raffle are
two of the other festivities slated to be happen in the tournament.
Players are still needed. There is
an entry fee of CI $125 for golf club members and $150 for non-members. The
entry fee includes a good bag, a chance to win prizes and a buffet meal.
Registration forms can be obtained
by the Catholic school, church or the golf club. The forms must be submitted
along with the entry fee by March 22.
