Electrical code workshop registration open to participants

Electrical educator Mike Holt, well
known in the local and international electrical industry, will be holding a
two-day workshop on the National Electrical Code for electrical and construction
industry professionals.

Hosted by the Cayman Islands
Planning Department, the Mike Holt 101 Essential NEC Rules Workshop will be
held at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort on 25 and 26 May.

Workshop topics include wiring and
protection, wiring methods and materials, equipment for general use, and
requirements for electrical installations.

 “This workshop is the precursor to adopting
the 2008 National Electrical Code, which will come into effect later this
year,” said Chief Building Control Officer Emerson Piercy.

Workshop participants will cover
practical and technical aspects of the 2008 NEC application and they will
receive copies of Mr. Holt’s Illustrated Guide to 101 Essential NEC Rules and
Changes to the NEC 2008.

With only 120 spaces available, the
deadline for registration is Monday 17 May. For participants registering by 26
April the cost is $375 per person or $350 per person, for two or more persons
from the same company or department.

For participants registering after 26
April the cost is $400 per person or   $375 per person for two or more persons from
the same company or department.

Registration includes morning and
afternoon refreshments and lunch. Attendees who complete both workshop days
will receive certificates of participation.
