Leprechauns sure to pop up for another Irish Jog

The popular annual Irish Jog takes place Wednesday,
fittingly, on St Patrick’s Day.

All proceeds are going to the
Cayman Islands Diabetes Association.

It’s the 18th staging of the St
Patrick’s Day 5K Irish Jog and a perfect excuse to wear green, act silly and
accomplish something worthwhile, all at the same time.

It is at 5:30pm at Grand Cayman
Beach Suites follows the route around the Britannia Golf Course. There will
be free hats, face stickers, wigs and other fun wear for everyone, and
complimentary food and refreshments will be available after the event.

Co-sponsored each year by
Butterfield Bank Limited and Grand Cayman Beach Suites, the jog has become
one of Cayman’s best loved run/walks.

It attracts hundreds of local and
overseas participants, from serious runners to walkers pushing baby
strollers.

Speedy Aussie Scott Brittain
hopes to make it a hat-trick of winners after his 2008 and 2009 triumphs.

Participants receive a T-shirt
and the opportunity to win one of several spot prizes, including sunset
sails, dinners for two and spa services. The entry fee is CI$10 per person
(US$12.50).

Registration is underway at
Butterfield House, 68 Fort Street from 9am to 4pm.

receive an entry form, email [email protected]
