Department of Sports Women’s

community the numerous ways in which the spirit, courage and contributions
women have made and are making in sports, add to the vitality and diversity of
the Caymanian culture.

“We are also taking the opportunity
during HWM to reinforce how important it is for women and girls to be
physically active.”

There are two events this week to
provide information on and promote the events that women and girls can
participate in or attend.

The first was a squash promotion on
Tuesday at the South Sound Squash Club that provided free coaching for women of
all levels including beginners.

Squash pro Karen Cheung played with
top female players.

Great squash club membership
specials were offered. Refreshments were provided for participants and
officials and there were giveaways and surprises.

On Saturday there will be a netball
all-star match and shooting competition at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex
courts from 6pm.
