New Horizons rise

It has been quite a Spring on the
track for New Horizons high.

The school won the first-ever
Maples Interscholastic meet last month beating out the likes of John Gray High
and Cayman Brac.

Now New Horizons are officially the
top athletics campus at George Hicks. On Wednesday the school earned those
props by winning the George Hicks Intra-Campus Sports meet held at the Truman
Bodden Sports Complex.

New Horizons started the day in
first place leading by 18 points ahead of PACE High and maintained their lead
in spite of a tight relay section.

The only negative was Jouri Haylock
pulled up hurt in the Year 7 Boys 100m with a suspected groin injury and could
take no further part in the meet.

At the end of it all New Horizons
won with 510 points with Heritage (490 points), Leading Edge (435 points) and
PACE (403 points) behind them.
