Author donates to public libraries

 Local author Catherine Tyson donated
copies of her first book recently.

The human services professional and
talk show host handed 10 copies of her newly published novel I’m Somebody’s Mama
to the acting deputy director of the Cayman Islands Public library Service,
Juliet Lawson during a visit to the George Town Public Library.

Miss Lawson said that the books
will be distributed across the six library locations: West Bay, George Town, Bodden
Town, East End, North Side and Cayman Brac.

“The autobiography is an
encouragement to single mothers and it will undoubtedly be a good resource for
male and female single parents,” she said.

Ms Tyson, who has been promoting
her book locally and overseas, plans to write more books and is currently
working on her next project.

“My book is about self-development:
the realising and actualising of your goals regardless of circumstance.

“It’s about empowerment. I think
everybody can get something from it.”
