PWC run was green success

The National Trust for the Cayman
Islands held it’s annual 5K Earth Week Fun Run sponsored by
PriceWaterhouseCoopers on Sunday.

It started and finished at the Dart
Family Park on South Church Street.

A massive turnout of 173 people ran
and walked past national trust sites of interests including two National Trust
historic sites, Dr. Roy’s Ironshore and Fort George.

“I really enjoyed the run and
I was pleased to see so many runners of all ages and nationalities take part in
support of the National Trust of the Cayman Islands,” said Sherri Francis of

“As most participants would agree
with me, I consider the island to be my home and am proud to be part of this
fund raising event.”

Performance winners received green
spheres, hand-blown at the Glass Blowing Studio, for the first, second and
third male and female runners.

The male and female who finished
the course last received a green hand-blown snail. The first boy and girl under
12 received National Trust goodie bags.

Prizes were donated by the
Lighthouse Point Condos, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Tattersol Imports,
Tips and Toes, Renaissance Beauty and Spa, Cayman Saltwater Taffy, Sea Elements
and Luxe Life.

The National Trust for the Cayman
Islands thanked PriceWaterhouseCoopers and coach Jerry Harper and his team at
the Phoenix Athletic Club who organised this event.
