Vivendi to stage re-launch soon

Cabaret, which opened for business as Cayman’s only cabaret 14 months ago is to
“undergo an extensive revamp,” according to a release from Paragon Group
multi-media company.

As well as
undergoing full-scale re-branding as “the island’s only cutting-edge and
dynamic entertainment Mecca,” the venue plans to launch an up-market club.

of the restructuring include undertaking an extensive upgrade of the décor, redesigning
its restaurant’s menu and bringing in a new cabaret troupe from Cuba for new

The live
cabaret venue, which has been closed for a week for the refurbishment and
restructuring, will reopen mid-May, under the direction of its new general
manager Valentino Salvi. Originally from Switzerland, Mr. Salvi has over 30
years experience in the hospitality sector.

According to
the advisory, the new shows and cast “will weave a colourful tapestry of
artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance… reminiscent of Cuba’s famed cabarets
such as Cabaret Parisien and Tropicana”.

Plans are
already underway “for an ostentatious and auspicious launch event” to “propel
Vivendi Cabaret into an entertainment league”, the release added.
