The National Council of Voluntary
Organisations can thank some golfers for a recent donation.
As hole-in-one sponsors of the
recent Re/Max Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, Island Heritage held a fun
add-on game at their hole to raise extra money for charity. The challenging
hole, #11 at the North Sound Club, is divided from the tee to the green by a

donation, to guess how many balls would land in the pond over the course of the
day with the player who guessed nearest the correct number also winning $100.
The game was successful in raising
$365 for the NCVO. Two golfers, Rod McDowall and Paul Anderton both guessed the
correct number of balls that landed in the pond that day was 37.
“Island Heritage volunteers had a fun day out
on the course,” said Island Heritage’s Monique Bush.
“We were happy with the response to
our game and our ability to give something back. Congrats to the Chamber for
organising a great event. We’re looking forward to next year.”
