A new creative writing course will
help budding authors develop the skills they need to succeed at fiction
The course, which is being hosted
by Books & Books, will be led by Dr. Keith Jardim, assisstant professor of
English and Fiction Writing at the University College of the Cayman Islands.
“He’s great,” said Bianca Freeland
of Books & Books, “he’s a big support.”
Participants will begin by
practicing writing exercises before moving on to focus on developing short
stories, and then novel chapters.
Ms Freeland said that the course
has been a success in previous years and that many participants go on to
participate in an advanced creative writing workshop also led by Dr. Jardim.
The course will run on Tuesdays
from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. from 25 May to 6 June. The $25 course fee must be paid to
Books & Books by the date of the first class on 25 May.
