Woman robbed at Queens Court

George Town police detectives are investigating a robbery which took place in the Queens Court area early Tuesday.

At about 1.15 am, police said. a 20-year-old woman was walking with two friends through the parking lot of the shopping centre on West Bay Road, when they were confronted by a masked man.

The man threatened the woman with what appeared to be a handgun before grabbing her handbag containing a camera, a small amount of cash and personal papers.

Police said the suspect ran away, and got into a white or silver coloured car which then drove off

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as having black hair and wearing a white v-neck shirt and denim jeans. He had a mask covering his face.

RCIPS Detective Sergeant Richard Scott is asking anyone who have been in the Queens Court area at the relevant time early Tuesday and witnessed the incident, or the car driving off from the scene, to contact George Town police station on 949-4222.
