Cayman
is going to the dogs (and cats) once again this year at the annual Petapalooza
music festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 5 June in front of the
Brick House at Grand Harbour from 12pm onwards.

Petapalooza
2010 is an all-day music festival to raise funds for the Cayman Islands Humane
Society.

Bands
scheduled to perform at this year’s event include: Suckerbox, Madam Speaker,
the Barefoot Man, Sea N’ B,Big Eye Squirrel, Suite Elite, Gary Ebanks & the
Free 2 B Ensemble, the Carlos Magas band, Bonda Fide, Red, White & Blues,
and Jeff Alban.

Last
year, this event raised over $17,000 which was used for much needed renovations
for the shelter and new stainless steel cages for the Quarantine Room and the new
Puppy Room.

This
year, the organisers aim to raise $20,000 to support the Shelter Expansion
Project.

Petapalooza
2010 will also seek to increase public awareness, promote the CIHS Spay and
Neuter Program, and showcase pets available for adoption while featuring local
entertainment and encouraging participants to have a fun day out with their
pets.
