Donation allows summer camp attendance

Four
children will be able to attend the National Trust for the Cayman Islands’
summer camp, thanks to a donation by Cayman National Bank.

The
Trust received a $1,000 donation from Cayman National, which will be used to
allow four less privileged children to attend the camp for one week each.

“Cayman
National is pleased to support the National Trust as they provide a summer
programme that will educate and enlighten our youth about our unique
environment and heritage, and wish them success in their endeavours,” said
Shari Whittaker, manager of bank marketing at Cayman National Bank Ltd.

The
summer camp kicked off on Tuesday, with activities from 9am to 5pm each day of
the week. The camp costs $225 per week for Trust members or $250 per week for
non-members.

Participants learn
about Cayman’s environment, as well as more about Caymanian culture through
traditional activities including crafts and games.
