Local art gallery canvasses CAIN for support

The newest beneficiary of an equity investment
from the Cayman Islands Investor Network is ArtEccentrix, a local Fine Art
gallery.

Currently the gallery is located in
Governor’s Square on West Bay Road. Arteccentrix began operating in May 2009 as
an online gallery providing high-end original fine art and fine art prints to
the discerning art connoisseur.  Exhibits
are featured at the gallery from both local and international artists and showcases
solo and group displays.

When asked why they made the
decision to support this company, CAIN Investor, Jeremy Walton responded, “We
are delighted to continue CAIN’s philosophy of supporting Caymanian
entrepreneurs by investing in Arteccentrix Fine Art Gallery.”

He added, “The owners of the
gallery have identified the need for a commercial space which showcases the
vibrant fine art scene in the Cayman Islands…CAIN is happy to help them
achieve the success that they deserve.”

A local Caymanian artist and
Co-owner of the gallery, Nickola McCoy, is active member of the local and
international art scene and is recognized as one of the country’s most prolific
female artists. Mrs. McCoy runs the gallery with her husband, Maurice Snell and
together the couple has made it their goal to perpetuate a vibrant artistic
local community.

In addition to offering financial
support, CAIN also places two nonexecutive directors on the board of any
company they invest in. “Now with the investment from the CAIN group the
possibility of sustaining the business and becoming a local and international
success is a much more attainable reality,” said Mrs. McCoy-Snell. This on
board tactic enables the group to provide strategic advice to the current small
business and they may be used for further innovation discussions or expansion
plans.
