The start of the Tennessee Titans’
training camp over the weekend is a welcome relief for Vince Young.
The mobile quarterback had a busy
off-season in which he dodged disciplinary action by the NFL after his Dallas
strip club tussle in June. Young has been cleared to play all 16 regular season
games for the Titans.
He’ll be armed with running back
Chris Johnson, who is happy the Titans reshuffled some money to pay him more
for 2010, and a team eager to replicate the late season form that saw Tennessee
become the first NFL team to finish at .500 after starting 0-6.
In spite of the controversy Young
is in good spirits. “I feel like I finished pretty good. I know I have to get
better and better. Now I feel like myself even more. I feel like my game is
going to excel, especially as the leader of this team.”
