Sonia Starvis has been hired as
counsel within Appleby’s Group’s Partnership.
Ms Starvis is a member of the
property practice group in the Cayman Islands office. She has broad real estate
and secured lending experience covering all aspects of Cayman Islands-based
residential and commercial property work. She specialises in the development
and leasing of commercial property and project and acquisition finance.
Before joining Appleby in 2009, Ms
Starvis was a partner and head of the property practice group at Walkers, where
she advised on a wide range of property and property financing
transactions. She has been recognised by
PLC Which Lawyer? as a Highly Recommended Lawyer for real estate.
Prior to coming to the Cayman
Islands in 1997, Ms Starvis was a solicitor at Taylor Wessing and trained at
Beachcroft, both in London. She is a member of the Law Society of England and
Wales and is also a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands.
