Like many of the newer teams in
flag’s Domino’s Pizza Ladies league, the Lone Star Jager Monsters are still
feeling their way in the sport and mixing experienced players with newcomers.
Quarterback Ali Amos is enjoying
the bedding in process. “The season has been a lot of fun, we have a great
group of girls,” she said. “Most of our team is made up of all new faces on the
football field, with Biz, Keisha, Michelle, Renee and myself the only players
to have previous experience. There is tons of talent on our team but there have
also been growing pains as well.
“Our last game I felt that things
really started to come together which is a good sign for our chances in the
playoffs. We are just of the mindset of one game at a time. Our sponsors have
been excellent this season, decking us out in Jagermeister gear and supplying
lots of Monster. Lone Star has been really amazing too. The staff there are big
fans and always ready to throw us a party, win or lose. The winning parties do
get a little crazier though. I know that next year with the talent and the
experience our players developing we can become a very successful team.
