Five Cayman beauties spent last
Sunday touring Grand Cayman in preparation for the Miss Cayman Pageant to be
held Saturday, 26 September at the Lions Community Centre.
Contestants, Mysti Bush, Cristin
Alexander, Trudyann Duncan, Shari Walton and Venessa Ebanks, started the island
tour at the Glasshouse on Elgin Avenue.
Before heading out, Cayman
professional makeup artist Laticia Davis-Eden helped create summertime looks to
match contestants’ personality and make them even more radiant for the road
Supporting the young women on their
first stop at Boatswain’s Beach for a tour and photo opportunity were Miss
Cayman Committee members and sponsor Cayman Airways’ Sir Turtle mascot.
At the Turtle Farm contestants had
fun taking pictures with baby turtles and Sir Turtle and on motorcycles of the
Life is Sweet bikers group.
The next stop was Pedro St. James
Castle, where contestants met with tour guide Stacy Hurlston who gave them a
brief rundown on the historic attraction. Even Little Jack Eden, the friendly
donkey who wanders the castle grounds, did not miss the opportunity of a

Elizabeth II Botanic Park, the contestants enjoyed a light lunch at the Lighthouse
The contestants also travelled
along the Queen’s Highway and saw the wreck of the Tens Sails.
Another fundraising highlight, the
Minister’s Black Tie Ball, is scheduled for Saturday, 18 September at the Grand
Cayman Marriott Resort, hosted by Minister of Tourism McKeeva Bush.
