The Cayman Islands Humane Society
received a very welcome donation from Greenlight Reinsurance recently. The
donation of $3,275 came about after Greenlight Re conducted a survey of its
brokers and opted to donate $25 to a local charity for each broker who
completed the survey.
The company decided to donate the
funds to the Humane Society and asked that it be earmarked to buy food for the
dogs at the shelter.
Currently, the shelter has more
than 100 puppies and dogs and the donation will feed them for over a month,
according to Humane Society President Carolyn Parker.
“During the summer months, we
always see an increase in animal intake and this wonderful gift is a very
welcome during these very difficult financial times,” said
