Ten War on Weight contestants,
along with committee members, were all in a spin during their first group
exercise session recently.
The WOW participants took part in a
45-minute spin class at Revolutions fitness club led by instructor Jerome
Ameline who gave the competition contestants a brief introductory course about
spinning and its benefits as part of a weight-loss regime.
Spinning is an all-over body work
out, which can burn up to 600 calories per session, in which participants ride
a specially designed stationary bike over jumps, hills and runs.
The 10 contestants are in their
third week of a 16-week battle of the bulge to be crowned the biggest loser and
take home a host of prizes, which include two nights at the Marriott Beach
Resort, a half-day charter on the luxurious day cruiser Cayman Stayed, a
makeover from La Mer Spa, and a family pass for Nautilus submarine.
