Burger King grill Dog House

 The race for the four playoff spots
in the Caybrew Men’s Division of the Cayman Island’s Flag Football Association
is tightening up as a result of action last Saturday. Burger King pulled off a
minor upset with a 13-7 win over Dog House to really tighten the race. Burger
King presently are tied with Maples for the final spot with Maples holding edge
with the tiebreaker. Burger King QB Neil Clements was 17 of 24 passing with two
touchdown passes and two interceptions. Ryan Smith and Neil Appleby each caught
a touchdown pass while Tito Solomon led the defense with five tackles.

Dog House were without QB Johnny
Mack and Joe Ferruzzi stepped in doing a great job going 12 of 21 passing with
a rushing score and an interception. Dog House was led on the defensive side of
the ball by Chris Smith who had four tackles and David Velez who had three
tackles and an interception. Dog House are 5 and 5 on the year and play Maples
next. A loss for Dog House would complicate the playoff scenario even more.

Spin 94.9 FM Hellcats tuned up for
playoffs by pounding the PWC Renegades 51-0. Spin have already secured a
playoff spot at 9-1. Frecko Ebanks threw six touchdown passes and Oliver Parker
ran for another score. Clay Coleman ran back an interception for a score and
had two interceptions on the day. 

Antonio Hanna was the bright spot
for PWC with four receptions and Gabe Rabess chipped in with three. For the
defense Kyle Broadhurst led the way with four tackles and Jeff Stower helped
out with three.

In the final game Calabash Soldiers
edged Maples Packers in a lackluster affair. Leslie Harvey was the lone
highlight of the game as he had two touchdown receptions both of them
spectacular catch and runs. Harvey also caught an extra point. Glenn Duran was
6 of 9 passing with the two touchdown passes for Calabash. Neville Morgan and
Will Peguero each had three tackles.

Maples were led by steady Andrew
Frederick who caught the lone touchdown pass and recorded a sack. Kevin Solomon
was 7 of 26 passing with a touchdown pass and an interception. Elroy Allen had
a superb day with three sacks. Maples play Dog House next.
