“Our enquiries in relation to the driver of the (Honda) are complete and no charges have been brought,” a police spokesperson confirmed late Tuesday.
The 18-year-old female driver of the other vehicle, Brooke Nowak, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ms Nowak was formally charged Monday in connection with the incident. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and with causing death by dangerous driving.
The 18-year-old appeared in court Tuesday morning before Magistrate Nova Hall.
She was ordered to remain in the jurisdiction at least until the setting of her next court date on 29 September.
