Cayman’s got Talent: North Side

Christopher Miller, 9, danced his
way to success at last Saturday’s North Side/East End preliminary heat of
Cayman’s Got Talent.  Five other
contestants also qualified to proceed to the pre-finals on Saturday, 16
October: Samantha Gourzong, 21, who wowed listeners with her rendition of
Killing me Softly; Kaitlyn Dixon, 12, with Shanae Whittaker, 13, and Shanai
Allen, 12, who sang Take a Bow; Justina Callinare, 16, who sang a
self-penned  love song; Jaide Dixon, 13,
who sang an a capella version of We are the World, and Jayquan Miller, 7, who
danced to a song by Neo. On Saturday, Bodden Town/Newlands preliminaries will
be held at the district’s civic centre from 10am to 4pm; show starts at 6pm.
Tickets: $5 (adults) and $2 (children 11 and younger), are on sale at Funky
Tangs.
