Celebrity Cruises launches its
onboard wine programme on 1 November with the start of the Wine Harvest
Guests on Celebrity’s cruises
departing 1 November to 11 December, 2010 – the time of year just after the
seasonal harvesting of grapes used to produce wine – will have the opportunity
to enjoy a variety of exclusive wine-related events. Part of this will be an
emphasis on French food, wine and spirits, plus the unveiling of Beaujolais
Nouveau on 18 November.
Hosted by a guest speaker and
Celebrity’s own cellar master, the event will offer guests the opportunity to
sip the eagerly-anticipated light wine from oak casks and commemorative
bottles, while enjoying live music and dancing, canapés, a gourmet French
cheese pairing and a roast carving station.
The cruises, which include
those on the Western Caribbean itinerary that visits Grand Cayman, will be able
to book wine tastings, food and wine pairing lessons, silent auctions, seminars
and master classes. Some are free and some require prior booking.
