Weather changes cruise schedules this week

There have been some alterations to cruise
ship schedules due to the unpredictable weather in the Western Caribbean.

Carnival Destiny, which was originally
scheduled to be in port on Tuesday, 28 September, moved its schedule to Monday,
27 September. The company said that it this service is simply reversing its path
through the area due to the weather.

Similarly, Carnival Liberty will now be
calling at Grand Cayman on Tuesday, 28 rather
than their original itinerary of Wednesday.

Cayman
unaffected

Carnival Inspiration’s five night cruise
which departed Tampa on Saturday, 25 September,
has altered its schedule to add a call at Key West but its Tuesday visit to Cayman is
unaffected.

“The changes result in two ships Monday,
four Tuesday and two on Thursday.  The weather situation will be assessed each
day for operational purposes,” said Joseph Woods of the Port Authority of the
Cayman Islands.

So far, Cayman has not lost any calls due to
the remnant low formerly known as Tropical Storm
Matthew.
