Due to continued bad weather, all
of today’s scheduled cruise calls have been cancelled.
Originally, four ships were
scheduled to call at Cayman; Celebrity Solstice, Carnival Valor, Carnival
Legend and Carnival Destiny. The four cruisers had a combined maximum capacity
of 10,798 passengers.
There had already been schedule
alterations, with Destiny changing from Tuesday to Monday and Liberty scheduled in Tuesday rather than
Wednesday. As a result there are now no cruise calls on Wednesday, 29
No changes Thursday
At present, there are no changes to
the schedule for Thursday, 30 September when the 2,974-capacity Carnival
Conquest and the 4,400-passenger Liberty of the
Seas are both still due to call at Grand Cayman.
Officials continue to monitor the
weather connected with the low pressure area in the north-western Caribbean.
