Cayman’s Health Services Authority
and Jackson International are teaming up for a second time to host a workshop
Friday and Saturday, 1 and 2 October, on the management of paediatric and adult
The Miami-based Jackson
International health service, which caters to foreign patients seeking medical
treatment at Jackson Memorial Hospital, has gathered eight physicians from the
University of Miami with expertise in the management of paediatric and adult
emergencies to take part in the workshop with doctors from the Cayman Islands
“The purpose of the workshop is to
train health authority physicians in the latest treatments and techniques in
the management of these critical patients. Topics include neonatological emergencies,
cardiac emergencies and arrhythmias, critical care management of diabetic
emergencies to management of antibiotic resistance,” a press release from
Jackson International stated.
The workshop, which will also
include case presentations, will be held at Hollywood Theatres in Camana Bay.
