Young Saver wins iPad from Butterfield bank

Saving has paid off for young
Butterfield bank account holder Rashaun McElroy, who won an Apple iPad, as part
of the Butterfield Young Savers sign-up promotion.

The Young Savers Savings Account
aims to teach young customers between the ages of 10 and 17 to save, manage
money and financial responsibility.

“Teaching children smart money
management skills is a gift that will last them a lifetime,” said Butterfield’s
Banking Centres Manager Antonette Alexander. “In the age of technology, the
temptation to spend makes this an invaluable lesson.”

The Young Savers promotional
campaign began on Tuesday, 17 August by offering Butterfield Young Savers the
chance to win an iPad. On 4 October 13-year-old Rashaun received the call
notifying him that he had won.

“We are delighted to award this
great prize to Rashaun. This exciting promotion is proof that saving with
Butterfield can be very rewarding!” said Ms Alexander.

Young Savers account holders get a
selection of account starter-benefits, including viewing access to Butterfield
online banking service. From age 14, young savers are eligible for their own
Young Savers debit card.
