Water Board adds to Jingle pool

The Water Authority Board has made
a donation of $1000 as a super sponsor to support the Cayman Islands Crisis
Centre Seventh Annual Jingle Bell Walk/Run.

The donation will be used towards
providing safe, temporary shelter and a supportive environment for abused women
and their children. This sponsorship will help the centre continue to educate
the community regarding domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Water Authority Board Member
Pearlina McGaw Lumsden said: “On behalf of the board and staff of the Water
Authority Board we are more than privileged to make this worthy donation to the
Cayman Islands Crisis Centre and we encourage and implore other institutions to
please do the same as it will be of great benefit to our community.”

Renee Carroll–Grate, executive
director Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, said: “While we at the Cayman Islands
Crisis Centre appreciate the valuable service that the Water Authority provides
to its customers and the Cayman Islands community, we are equally grateful for
its financial donation to assist abused women and their children. Thank you for
serving as a corporate sponsor for the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre Jingle Bell
Walk-Run event.”
