North Side dim Sunset

North Side unleashed their football
skills to hand former Premier League team Sunset their first defeat in the
Cayman Islands Football Association Foster’s First Division by beating them 3-1
at the TE McField Sports Centre on Saturday while Academy blanked Scholars
International B 5-0 at the Ed Bush Stadium in West Bay.

It was Sunset who drew first blood
from a goal by Johnny McLaughlin in the 38th minute. In the 51st minute of the
second half Guiton King netted North Side’s first goal. Dwayne Wilson was on
target for North Side in the 80th minute and three minutes later Derron Golaub
got their third.

Bodden Town B outplayed George Town
B 3-0 in their match up. The goal scorers were Rashad Rankin in the 21st and
63rd minute and Anfernee Wright in
the 63rd.

Three games will be staged on
Saturday when Prospect United meet Latinos at 5pm at the TE McField Sports
Centre and Academy encounter Cayman Athletic at 7pm. At the Ed Bush Stadium Sunset
will face Elite at 7pm.

Ten teams are participating in this
competition this season and the winners will be automatically promoted to the
2011-12 Premier League season. The teams are North Side, Elite B, Prospect
United, Bodden Town B, Sunset SC, Scholars International B, George Town B,
Latinos FC, Academy SC and Cayman Athletic SC.
