FirstCaribbean tees up for fun Scramble

FirstCaribbean International Bank
has once again taken platinum sponsorship of the 11th Annual Golf Scramble.

The event takes place on Friday 19
November, organised by the Business & Professional Women’s Club of Grand
Cayman. Anna McLean, chief compliance officer, FirstCaribbean International
Bank, handed a cheque to Rocio Esau, president, Business & Professionals
Women’s Club, Grand Cayman, saying the bank was pleased to help support the
group and sponsor the event for the fourth year in a row.

“The range of community-building
projects in which the BPWC is involved is a testament to the hard work and
dedication of the group,” said Tom Crawford, managing director retail, wealth
management and small business. “Each year the scramble seems to get bigger and
better and FirstCaribbean is pleased to play such a major role in supporting
these crucial initiatives.”

“Our annual golf scramble is the
club’s primary source of funds to support its various community projects,” said
Esau. “And it is for this reason that we are so grateful for FirstCaribbean’s
continued support.”

The Business & Professional
Women’s Club of the Cayman Islands is a non-partisan charter group of the
International Federation of Business & Professional women founded in
1930.  Its goals are primarily to work
for high standards of service in business and the professions, stimulate and
encourage in women a realisation and acceptance of their responsibilities to
the community, locally, nationally and internationally and encourage women and
girls to acquire education and occupational training. It also focuses on equal
opportunities and status for women in economic, civil and political life in all
countries.

Since the club was introduced to
the Cayman Islands by Dr. Margo Koeman in 1976, it has been actively involved
in developing many projects which allow women to help women.
