The human resources certification, awarded by the HR Certification Institute, signifies that Ms Williams possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field.
“Certification as a human resource professional clearly demonstrates a commitment to personal excellence and to the human resource profession. Today, more than 108,000 HR professionals hold a certification from The HR Certification Institute which demonstrates a mastery of key HR principles,” said Mary Power, executive director of the HR Certification Institute.
Ms Williams joins the ranks of the more than 45,000 senior professional human resources certified professionals who have successfully achieved these awards and demonstrated their commitment to a professional higher standard in terms of knowledge of current principles and core practices in human resources management.
To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience.
Also earning dual professional qualifications this summer was Christoph Barnett. He was among the 40 per cent of candidates who successfully completed the CFA Level III exam in June. Mr. Barnett has also successfully passed four CPA exams and earned this qualification this summer.
The CFA programme is a postgraduate programme that combines a broad-based curriculum of investment principles with professional conduct requirements.
Mr. Barnett passed all three levels of the required exams in his first three years of full-time employment with Citco Fund Services after also having been sponsored by Citco for his undergraduate degree, which he earned from Florida Southern College, and his master’s degree in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics.
Newly appointed Managing Director Paul Kelly, who recently transferred from the Citco Fund Services Bermuda Office, congratulated Ms Williams and Mr. Barnett, saying: “Citco is always happy to support our staff in their continuing professional development and their pursuit of relevant higher education and acknowledges the achievements of both members of our staff in recently earning their professional qualifications. We look forward to their continued career growth and contributions with the company”.
