Women United are on top of the points standings with six after the second round of the 2010-2011 season of the Cayman Islands Football Association Women’s League.
Last Sunday Kimberly ‘Ninja’ Petgrave scored for Women United in the 72nd minute to defeat Future 1-0 in a very competitive game to land her team their second victory since the start of the competition. Women United have barely lost a match since forming three years ago.
Most of the Women United side play in the national side so it’s not surprising that they dominate the league.
Five teams are competing in this season’s competition; Sunset SC, Women United, Scholars International FC, Future SC and Elite SC.
Games continue on Saturday at the TE McField Sports Centre when Sunset face Women United at 5pm. On Wednesday 8 December, Scholars International meet Elite at the Ed Bush Stadium at 7:30pm.
