Caribbean telecommunications provider LIME has announced two senior marketing appointments.
Grace Silvera has been named regional vice president for marketing and corporate communications, and Dianne Bissoon has been named vice president for television and entertainment services.
LIME Caribbean’s chief marketing officer, Chris Dehring, said: “Grace, who is among Jamaica’s most accomplished senior marketing and communications executives, brings to LIME more than 25 years of extensive expertise in international marketing, communications, public relations, events marketing, customer service and, most recently, public sector leadership. We are confident that LIME will benefit significantly from her expertise.”
In a statement, LIME said Ms Silvera is recognised as one of the main the driving forces behind Red Stripe’s export business and image. Most recently she was the executive director of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission.
Dianne Bissoon, a native of Trinidad & Tobago, has 12 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. She started her career at Adelphia Cable, where she was part of a team that migrated Adelphia Cable to Comcast. She was responsible for the rebranding efforts that encompassed almost 1 million homes in the newly acquired markets in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ms Bissoon had a lead role in Comcast’s development and product launches.
Prior to joining LIME Ms Bissoon worked at WestStarTV in the Cayman Islands, where she was responsible for the concept and implementation of client distribution strategy in securing programming contracts.
Mr. Dehring said: “The depth of experience that Dianne possesses in this specialised area will be of tremendous value to LIME as we rev up the entertainment aspect of our business.”
Ms Bissoon is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, holds an MBA in marketing and is pursuing a PhD in international business.
