Elvis Smith was recently surprised at his home in Savannah by LIME General Manager Tony Ritch when he found out he was the winner of the Grand Christmas Pon De Remix Prize to “live free for a year”.
Mr Smith had entered the prize draw by buying a new handset.
In addition to a cash prize, Mr. Smith also won a voucher for groceries and a LIME telecommunications package, which includes landline, internet and mobile, plus a new mobile handset.
Mr. Smith said: “Today is my birthday, and this is a very nice gift to receive, especially as I have just moved into a new home and it’s the start of the New Year. I just want to say a big thank you to LIME. This is amazing!”
Second prize of a family vacation for four was won by Michael Gooden and the third prize of a Samsung Entertainment pack, which included 3D TV, DVD player and surround-sound speaker system, is Aretha Bush, a teacher at East End Primary School.
There were many prize winners throughout the campaign, with weekly winners picking up iPads, car makeovers, room makeovers and fashion makeovers.
Mr. Ritch said: “What a great surprise for Mr. Smith, and on his birthday too. … LIME is delighted to present these prizes to all our lucky winners. “Our Christmas Pon De Remix campaign has been a phenomenal success, people loved the campaign and also all the community events that we Remixed during this time, too, like our motorcades, toy drive and seniors events that we supported.”
