Catholic well on course

The second annual St. Ignatius Golf Scramble is set to tee again.

Golfers can hit the links for a good cause on Friday 25 March at the North Sound Club with a 1pm shotgun start. The four-person scramble can accommodate up to 80 players in 20 teams and it is open to the general public.

GT Automotive has once again got involved as a major sponsor and will be offering a new car for an ace at a designated hole. Sponsorships range from $100 to $1,000 and St. Ignatius is appealing for additional sponsors to come forward. Donations of prizes are also welcome. The deadline for sponsors is Monday 21 March.

Those wishing to play in the scramble should submit a registration form and CI$125 per player for North Sound Club members (CI$175 per player for nonmembers) as soon as possible.

The entry fee includes goody bag, cart rental, chances to win lots of great prizes and buffet meal and awards presentations after the golf. There will also be prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, putting champion and best dressed golfer.

Registration forms may be obtained on or by visiting the St. Ignatius school or church offices.
