Cayman will be port of call on several upcoming themed cruises this season.
The Over 40 Western Caribbean Spring Cruise leaves Miami aboard the Carnival Liberty on Saturday, 23 April. The seven-night cruise visits Cozumel, Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman.
Shelby Bergeron of organisers Single Cruise said these cruises are a way to bring people together.
“Our guests are sure to make many friends on our all age cruises because most love the wide age range and various personalities in the group, and it is great fun getting to know so many different people.”
Onboard activities include wine tastings, speed dating, ballroom dance lessons and over 50s theme parties.
Upcoming in early March is a Florida A&M Black College Spring Break Cruise. The Carnival Freedom with students aboard leaves Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, 6 March and hits Key West, a Jamaican port yet to be announced and Grand Cayman.
A poker-themed seven night Western Caribbean cruise, featuring world champion players, leaves Galveston on 24 April, visiting Cayman on Wednesday, 27 April, and an old school house music cruise leaves Miami on Saturday, 21 May from Miami. The five-night cruise visits Ocho Rios on Monday, 23 May, before docking in Grand Cayman at 8am on Tuesday, 24 May. Featured DJs are from Chicago, New York, Detroit and Miami and include Farley Jackmaster Funk, Gene Hunt, Melvin Gentry and Omar Abdullah.
