The annual Scotia Relays are
approaching and promise to be another great event.
Top runners like Scott Brittain and
Marius Acker have competed in the Scotia Relays in the past and provided plenty
of excitement in doing so.
The Scotia Relays will be held at
the track at the Truman Bodden Complex on 3 March from 6pm. It is primarily
aimed at corporate teams, but open to anyone. There are five participants in
each team, each completing a one mile loop course around the Liguanea
subdivision at the back of the track, with the start and finish of each leg
inside the stadium.
There are trophies for the winning
teams in each division, corporate, open and ladies, but the prime attraction is
the random prizes. Cost for registration is $100 per team of five
The concept is to attract everyone
not just the athletic types, so individuals can even walk the course if they
wish. It’s a chance to get some exercise, have fun, and raise funds for a good
cause, as all the proceeds from entry fees will be donated to the Cayman
Islands Athletic Association for the benefit of their junior track programme
and also to assist with expenses in sending a track team to the Island Games in
the Isle of Wight this summer.

at Scotiabank main Office in Cardinall Ave, on the second floor
