Music festival continues this weekend

A Celebration of Music at The Ritz-Carlton

The three-day musical festival presented by the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman continues Saturday and Sunday after the Thursday night kick-off event.

Billed as A Celebration of Music, the festival is a Rotary Club fundraising event, and a portion of the proceeds will specifically be earmarked for the Rotary supported Observatory Building at the University College of the Cayman Islands.

After the show tunes of Broadway Under the Stars on Thursday, the genre switches to jazz with Jazz on the Green, featuring American jazz artist Chuck Holden and Cayman’s own Gary Ebanks.

The 8pm event takes place on the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Great Lawn. Tickets are $40.

The venue will move across the street to the 7 Restaurant for a Gospel Brunch, featuring acclaimed American singer, songwriter and actress Maryel Epps, along with Omar Walters and Clyde Kain.

The event, which includes a champagne brunch at 7 restaurant, starts at noon and runs through 3pm. Tickets are $145.

Tickets for both events are on sale at Celebrations, Cayman Automotive, Bon Vivant or from Rotary Club of Grand Cayman members.
