Rotary Sunrise
 honours Ladies Day

Rotary Sunrise organised a special meeting chaired by Rosalie Jamieson and addressed by Past Assistant Governor Sophia Harris for International Ladies Day on 8 March.

Sergeant for the day was Honore member, Chief Magistrate Margaret Ramsay-Hale.

International Women’s Day, as others call it, is celebrated all over the world.

The tradition sees men honouring their mothers, wives, girlfriends and colleagues with flowers and small gifts.

In some countries IWD has the equivalent status of Mother’s Day where children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers.

Rotary Sunrise observed the day by recognising and honouring the female members of Rotary Sunrise and other invited female Rotarians, Rotaractors and guests.

Marie Beatrice Taylor, with her husband Governor Duncan Taylor, attended, as did the Speaker of the House Mary Lawrence.
