The Cayman Islands Society of Human Resources Professionals will hold its annual conference on Thursday 19 May at the Marriott Beach Resort.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Grow….A Day of Professional Learning & Development”.
The keynote speaker will be public speaking coach Robert Vallee from the Toronto-based company Speak and Impress! Since 1979, Mr. Vallée has delivered over 5,000 presentation skills workshops to more than 1,125 private and public sector clients. He has been the personal presentation coach for more than 15,000 professionals and for 84 CEO’s.
Society president Samantha Nehra said other local speakers at the conference will make presentations on important topics such as transforming conflict into opportunities for growth and how to enhance employee value proposition.

The Society was formed in 2000 by a group of human resource professionals in Cayman Islands with a mission to work on a continuing basis to identify human resource challenges and to develop solutions to them; to seek opportunities to provide HR leadership and innovation, especially where such opportunities work to the advantage of employees and employers; and to promote the HR industry to produce a positive difference in the Cayman Islands.
The Society currently has a membership of approximately 160 HR professionals.
